DESCRIPTION:The LAX Coastal Young Professionals and the Rotary Club of Westchester are proud to present an Evening with Senator Ben Allen.\n\n\n\nJoin them for a Q&A with our California State Senator\, Ben Allen. In addition to a dynamic discussion\, Senator Allen will also share details about a holiday toy drive in which the community can get involved.\n\n\n\n_____________\n\n\n\nCalifornia State Senator Ben Allen was elected in 2014 to represent the 26th Senate District\, which consists of the Westside\, Hollywood and coastal South Bay communities of Los Angeles County.\n\n\n\nBen has authored several measures that have become law\, including the groundbreaking bill to boost vaccination rates among schoolchildren and a landmark river protection bill.  He authored laws that protect veterans from pension scams\; improve the diagnosis\, treatment and care for persons with Alzheimer's disease\; strengthen the regulation of underground gas wells\, and enable HIV-positive persons to donate life-saving organs to other HIV-positive persons.\n\n\n\n_____________\n\n\n\nThe LAX Coastal Young Professionals support a "young-at-heart" attitude and infuse a youthful energy into the business community while enhancing their networking abilities\, strengthening leadership skills and developing meaningful relationships in business. The YP committee hosts networking events\, coordinates community service projects and engages in educational opportunities in order to advance and strengthen business skills and have fun.
