It stemmed from me wanting my mother to be happy and wanting to make sure my family followed healthier habits. In my younger years\, I worked as a peer mediator\, tutor\, and volunteered countless hours working with elementary\, middle\, and high school students\, with a special love for helping students with reading. I became a certified scuba diver at age 15 and certified lifeguard and swim instructor at 19. \n\nI moved around a lot as a child and attended Mays High School in Atlanta\, GA and graduated from Brentwood School in Los Angeles\, CA. I obtained my BA in psychology from University of California\, Los Angeles (UCLA). After spending some time working various jobs\, including as a substitute teacher (K-8th)\, I obtained my MBA at age 25.\n\nIn search of a career that would allow me to impact people's lives\, I joined the LA County Sheriff Department as a deputy sheriff and graduated in the top 10% of my class. I worked in the jails and as a jail training officer\, patrolled in Compton and other cities\, and was hand-selected for a special team where I participated in numerous undercover assignments.\n\nI was involved in a car accident on duty that ended my career and forced me into retirement. Despite undergoing neck and back surgery\, re-teaching myself to walk while using a walker\, I vowed not to let that stop me. I obtained my personal training and nutrition certification from the International Sports Sciences Academy and also became a certified life coach. 6 years after my car accident and not being able to sit upright without pain\, I began training to compete onstage as a bodybuilder. Even after a subsequent diagnosis of Fibromyalgia\, I have overcome numerous challenges and obstacles to become a National level competitor in the Figure and Masters Figure (35+ and 40+) categories. I am currently working on obtaining my Professional status in the sport of Bodybuilding. \n\nI currently co-own Good To Go Food Prep\, LLC\, a gourmet healthy meal prep delivery company based in Los Angeles\, that ships in the United States\, nationwide. Additionally\, I am a health and wellness coach and train clients in person in the Los Angeles area\, online\, and virtually.\n\n\n\nMy goal is to motivate\, inspire\, and change lives on a greater scale.
