DESCRIPTION:In honor of Earth Day\, please join us as we become heroes for our own planet! On Saturday\, April 23rd\, start the day with local business owners and community leaders at our Ballona Creek Wetlands. Our mission will be to clean up as much of the non-organic matter along the Ballona Creek Wetlands. We invite you to join us for this Earth Day event to serve the community.\n\n \n\nDetails:\n\nSpace is limited to a total of 50 volunteers\, so reserve your spot today! \n\nRideshare recommended for this location\, as there is very limited / no parking.\n\nStart time 9:15am at Ballona Creek Wetlands\, 303 Culver Blvd.\, Playa del Rey (right Gordon's Market)\n\n \n\nPost Event Celebration:\n\nAfter a morning of tidying up the Ballona Creek Wetlands\, we will gather informally at "The Shack\, Playa del Rey". All volunteers are invited to attend.  \n\n \n\nIn partnership with:\n\nLos Angeles World Airports\, United Airlines\, Jen Law Firm\, Hampton Inn & Suites LAX\, One Hope Wine\, and Pronto Tax Group\n\n \n\nThe Ballona Wetland Mission:\n\nChampioning the restoration and protection of Los Angeles' last coastal wetland and educating our diverse community as stewards of nature.\n\n \n\nWhat is Network for Change:\n\nNetwork for Change is an innovative collaborative group that brings together diverse business leaders looking to broaden their networks and to connect with local non-profit organizations to make a difference. The LAX Coastal Chamber will be coordinating outreach in support of our local non-profit organizations in need of help with volunteers and support for their projects. We will join with our corporate partners on events such as these in order to maximize our impact.
