HOLLYWOOD, CALIF.—August 21, 2019—Beyond the glamour of Hollywood, secrets are kept hush hush year-round, but a dark side emerges once a year around Halloween. The Starline Tours Haunted Hollywood Tours are steeped in Hollywood lore, highlighting forgotten secrets at iconic locations and famous hotspots around Los Angeles. The bus tour includes twisted tales from L.A.’s past about true stories of murder and suicide to unexplained supernatural mysteries, including:
  • A visit to the Roosevelt Hotel, said to house the spirit of Marilyn Monroe, whose shadow has been seen in a full-length mirror once inside her favorite poolside suite
  • The Greystone Mansion, also known as the Doheny Mansion, the scene of two still-unexplained macabre murders in the ‘20s
  • The Comedy Store, one of the most haunted buildings in Los Angeles
  • The strange past of the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, formerly known as Grauman’s Chinese Theatre
  • Little-known facts about A Nightmare on Elm Street, one of the most successful and frightening horror movies of all time
Starline’s Haunted Hollywood Tour also includes events and places linked to, not only Marilyn Monroe, but River Phoenix, Jim Morrison and his famous room #32 at the Alta Cienega Motel, the hotel (now apartments) where Janis Joplin died (and people can still hear her wailing), Harry Houdini, John Belushi and more.
