In a large metropolitan city like Los Angeles, true “hometown” events are rare. On Friday, July 4, 2014 from 11 am to 1 pm the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce will present a scene, almost as if it came out of a Norman Rockwell painting—our tribute to America’s birthday, the 15th Annual Fourth of July Parade. This year’s parade, is sure to bring out the very best that our community has to offer the more than 5,000 spectators from all over the city!
This year we will only be accepting 50 entries in the parade, which means that we are encouraging our entries to raise the bar! As in years past, we will be including a panel of judges to select the top winners before the parade in the following categories: Best Overall, Best Theme and Chairman’s Choice Award.
We strongly encourage all participants to work with this year’s theme, “Love My America!” We are looking for engaging and interactive floats/entries that show our community exactly what America means to you. All of us are patriotic in our own way, and all of us have a story to tell, and we want to see them represented through your entry designs. Feel free to include musical entertainment, as well. Remember to have fun, be creative, and submit your entry in a timely manner!
