18th Heroes of Hope Race for LA Brain Tumor Research

The Heroes of Hope Race returns to Los Angeles for the 18th time on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Dockweiler State Beach in Playa del Rey. Set against the Pacific Ocean, the event brings together walker and runners from all across the country united in one cause--to help those affected by brain tumors and childhood cancer and to raise much needed funds for brain tumor and childhood cancer research right here in Los Angeles.
All proceeds fund research at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, UCLA and Cedars-Sinai.

Runners have the opportunity to participate in a timed 5k, 10k, or have the option to run in both races. Kids have the opportunity to participate in an untimed 1k “fun run” complete with superhero cape or tutu and fun kids zone with face painting etc. And runners from across the country and around the world can participate virtually at their own pace, in their own time and on their own course.

Race Start:

8:00am for the 5k

and 8:30am for the 10k
Kids Fun Run approx 9:30 am

Race Lengths: 5k, 10k, or both.
