Kentwood Players presents 42nd Street opening Friday, November 14th at the Westchester Playhouse, 8301 Hindry Ave., Los Angeles 90045. This production is directed and choreographed by Doug Vasquez, with vocal direction by Abby Carlson. It is produced by Margaret Harrington, Daniel Kruger and Jeremy Palmer. 42nd Street is produced by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc
Performance dates are Friday, November 14 through Saturday, December 13, 2025. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00pm. Saturday matinees at 2:00pm will be added on September 20 and continue through the rest of the run. In addition, there will be two Thursday performances at 8:00 pm on December 4 and 11.

 Winner of two 1980 Tony Awards, 42nd Street tells the tale of Julian Marsh's journey putting on a Broadway musical at the height of the Great Depression. Peggy Sawyer, a motivated young performer wearing her heart on her sleeve, arrives on Broadway, with the hope of making it as a performer. What ensues is a song and dance extravaganza, a feast for the senses and a tap dancer's dream. 42nd Street is a joyful, buoyant celebration of musical theater. Come and meet those dancing feet; escape with us as we time travel back to 1930.
