As the world lives and works from home, we can make sustainable choices that will help to reduce our carbon footprint. This special family friendly session is a built in school lesson on sustainability. Join Chamber member and environmental leader, Wendy Nystrom for a fun and interactive session on how you and your family can create some DIY projects at home that will lead to a more sustainable lifestyle.
Through this exciting session, you will learn how to reuse, renew, and repurpose things around the house. Everything from making your own laundry detergent, learning how to compost, and designing a sustainable garden.
Wendy graduated from Boston University with a combined BA/MA in Geology/Geochemistry. She began her career as an environmental scientist and then moved to New York City to work in environmental and pollution insurance. Wendy is currently enrolled in UCLA’s Sustainability program, incorporating her existing environmental insurance knowledge with the latest developments in sustainability and the triple bottom line fundamentals ultimately leading to a partnership with Climate Resolve teaching Insurance 101 for Climate Activists at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI).
