The LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce's Installation Awards Gala is going back in time — "Where the 80s Never End." Inspired by the era of MTV, iconic pop culture, and the unmistakable spirit of Los Angeles, this is one evening where dressing the part is not just encouraged, it's celebrated. Guests are invited to arrive in neon fashion and big hair, dancing to classic hits while enjoying nostalgic touches like mixtape-inspired décor and arcade games.
Adding a meaningful local tribute, the event will pay homage to the spirit of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles — the "City of Angels" — a moment that showcased global unity, innovation, and pride on a world stage.
The program will include the installation of our 2026-2027 Chairman of the Board, Jerry Jen and his incoming board of directors. We will also extend a big THANK YOU to outgoing Chair Stephanie Sampson of Accenture for her year of service! Blending 80s nostalgia with a tribute to Los Angeles history, the evening will celebrate this past year's achievements while energizing a bold vision for the future.
