The Marina Affairs committee is dedicated to the betterment of Marina del Rey, with LAX Coastal professionals learning about issues relevant to both water-side and land-side projects.
This month, hear from local leaders regarding hospitality, safety, and philanthropy:
Jackie Ott Jaakola, Senior Manager of Outreach and Advocacy from Wallis Annenberg PetSpace will present a brief overview of the unique new community space in Playa Vista where people can celebrate their relationship with animals through education programs, play and pet adoption. She will outline various opportunities for volunteer or community engagement and highlight some special upcoming programs for the general public.
Angel George of AMLI Marina del Rey will discuss AMLI's construction status (they open their first building on April 15) and offered amenities for their tenants, as well as their LEED Silver ranking and affordable housing options. He will also present on their future public spaces, retail spaces, and how excited they are to parter with this community.
Lastly, the Marina del Rey Sherrif's station will present on current safety updates within the Marina.
