Ahoy! Join us for our 41st Annual Teacher Eddy Awards - Captains of Education! Our teachers (like boat captains) are adventurers, visionaries, problem solvers, and stand brave and tall in moments of adversity. They work tirelessly and use their intuition as their "true north". They put their "student sailors" before their own needs. Being a "Captain of Education" is no easy feat. It takes perseverance, grit, and daily determination to stir the ship home to its harbor.
Our local schools are fortunate to have outstanding "Captain" teachers who possess all these qualities and more. They are true heroes in our community, and this evening is dedicated to recognizing and honoring them.
This Oscar night for our education community brings together over 300 educators, administrators, business leaders, and community members to celebrate and recognize the outstanding contributions of local teachers. Each school will select their Teacher of the Year honoree, who will be invited to attend the dinner gala.
