Our founder, Eric Ong, inherited his passion for Japanese culture and cuisine from his family, who lived in Tokyo for many years. His dream has been to capture the nostalgic memories of Japan and embrace them with his love for local comfort food. Humble Potato is the result of that vision: American Comfort with a Japanese Kick, made in LA!

While we take pride in creating simple food with fresh and humble ingredients, we don't really take ourselves too seriously. At Humble Potato, the attitude stays in the food.

Humble Potato is a down-to-earth neighborhood eatery, serving comfort food with a simple Japanese flavor twist. We are passionate for good eats, urban art, diversity and return-on-community. Located in Culver City?s newest business district of Washington West, Humble Potato offers a casual dining atmosphere, with an intimate setting and an outdoor patio seating. It?s a perfect gathering spot for the community! We are very excited to be a part of this upcoming vibrant neighborhood of Culver City and Mar Vista.

As with our quirky name, Humble Potato truly represents our core values of promoting positive vibes, keeping things simple, and not taking ourselves so seriously when it comes to food.
